Lego Batman

legobatmanA college buddy of mine was in town this weekend.  One thing we like to do is play video games all night.  So I decided to check out Lego Batman, expecting nothing special.

It was AWESOME. The puzzles were hard, but not too hard.  It was fun figuring out how to have Batman and Robin work together (they have different costumes that add additional skills).  The learning curve was shallow enough to allow a casual gamer like me to catch on quickly.  The cut scenes were amusing.

Of course it was not all great.  The combat was very one dimensional and the camera angles were sometimes rather badly thought out.  But these are small problems in a otherwise fun game.

I have not played any of the Lego video games such as Star Wars or Indiana Jones but I was always curious as to what they were like.  Now I can’t wait to try them out.  After all if Batman is awesome then Star Wars and Indiana Jones must be awesome2.
