In the book Iron Hearted Violet by Kelly Barnhill, princess Violet is a sheltered princess who is a reckless girl but she is very clever. She was born imperfect. Her eyes are not even and she is plain, but she is very smart. Violet is a great storyteller, and she’s even good at listening to stories. One day she escapes her mom, dad, babysitter, and the guards to the outside world. She gets in trouble with a bull and is then saved by a boy named Demetrius. They become best friends. One day Demetrius and Violet come across a hidden room, and they find a book in the room. This book was not normal; it was a forbidden book called “Nybbas”. The Nybbas actually lives in their world but no one believes this. Violet and Demetrius think its just fiction until weird things start to happen!

So, Violet, Demetrius, and a dragon go on a magical quest to find the Nybbas. All depends on them and how they tell the story. Iron Hearted Violet by Kelly Barnhill is a perfect choice for fairy tale lovers who want twists and turns with magic. Also if you like adventure, then this book matches your style! Overall the theme of the book is belief and magic. Reading this book makes you think of fairy tales and adventure and there`s some mystery too. I would rate this book 9 stars out of 10 stars. I really liked it, and it was set up very well. Each event led up to another which made sure the story wasn’t boring. It was a page-turner, and I went through it fast!
