April is National Poetry Month

mobile_icon

Poem in Your Pocket Day is April 30. Will you be ready?

The American Academy of Poets website has a new Mobile Poetry page that provides unlimited access to more than 2,500 poems (and more, too!). The collection is organized into two sections: occasion and theme and form. A search feature lets you search or browse the collection by poet, poem, and prose.

Mobile Poetry is made for the iPhone, but can be used on most mobile devices. Just surf to www.poets.org/m. You can also use the same URL to view the site from a regular computer.

So, the next time you’re on a long car ride or waiting for a table at a restaurant, pull up Mobile Poetry and see what you can find!

Pssst… Our National Poetry Month web page has links to more cool poetry stuff at the Library and on the Web. Check it out!
